I developed a technique of making 3-D layered constructions of calligraphy engraved on multiple glass sheets. These are each engraved on both sides with writing that overlaps to build three dimensional 'text'-ures. In my new book BROWN Calligraphy, I discuss how I developed the technique and also present many of the creative concepts explored in various series of glass pieces, which have sometimes touched on the transcendent.
